After reading my synopsis, Karel gave me a detailed analysis of where the structure is deficient and why the story died exactly on page 80. His analysis was along the same lines as the one from the NSWFTO, but he was more thorough and the face-to-face dialogue helped to pinpoint exactly the deficient elements of structure.

After receipt of the synopsis/outline and payment, I prepare a written report as the basis for a face-to-face meeting or phone call.

Paragraph by paragraph I will walk you through the document and give my opinion about the two most important questions:

1. Does the synopsis sell your work? (style)
2. Will this story work on the screen? (structure)

The session will take about 45mins to an hour. If fixes are simple, we discuss them there and then. If you agree the story needs a fundamental review, I will help you prepare for the next session on the basis of a step outline.
