
James Middleton (Director)
James Middleton lived his childhood
in the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea, the son of a coffee planter.
He attended secondary schooling in Australia and at the University of New
England studied Philosophy and Classical Literature.
His first film, The Judgement of Paris (Fiction, Super 8, 11mins) was made
in 1986, after which he was accepted into the Australian Film & Television
School to study Directing. Graduating in 1990, he has been making short films,
taught acting, and is in the process of developing feature film screenplays.
The Crayfishermen is his first documentary, made while living on Bruny Island
in Tasmania.
